East Coast Counseling, Inc. is a trusted provider of outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services based in Greenville, NC. Our team of licensed counselors utilizes a variety of evidence-based approaches—including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing—to support individuals facing mental health challenges and addiction.

She has extensive experience in outpatient, inpatient, and crisis settings, allowing her to address a wide range of disorders due to her dual credentials. Jan divides her time between outpatient clients, supervising clinicians, and teaching at East Carolina University.

Gloria graduated from East Carolina University in 2006 and has nearly 19 years of experience in substance use, mental health, and disability services. She is East Coast Counseling's Certified ADETS instructor and facilitates our DWI groups. Outside of her professional role, Gloria enjoys soul-stirring music and spending time with her family, especially her grandson.
Abby earned her undergraduate degree in Family Community Services with a concentration in Child Development from East Carolina University, where she also obtained her master's degree in social work. Since January 2021, she has been working in addictions and mental health counseling.

Madison completed her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University in December 2024. She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor-Associate (LCMHC-A) and enjoys working with adolescents and young adults struggling with substance use, depression and anxiety. Outside of work, Madison enjoys spending time at the beach and with her dog, Josie.
Laura has worked in office administration since 1989 and holds a Legal Assistant associate's degree. She worked in the legal field in Maryland for a defense attorney, State's Attorney and the Circuit Court criminal clerk's office. She has lived in Greenville for 8 years.
Laura attended Pitt Community College after her Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps. There, she earned her Associates in both Business & Human Resources. She continued her education at NC Wesleyan and graduated in 2019 with a double bachelor's in business administration & human resources.

East Coast Counseling accepts most major health insurance plans as well as private pay. For specific coverage details, we encourage you to contact our office directly. Co-pays and any out-of-pocket fees are due at the time of service.

To complete a DWI assessment, we require the following documentation:
Clients may bring these documents to their appointment or have them sent directly to our office via fax or email by their attorney. If you’re unable to obtain your driving record in advance, we can request it for you in-office for an additional fee.
Yes! We offer virtual counseling at your request. We see North Carolina residents only.
